The RAPID decision model
R Recommend A Agree P Perform I Input D Decide

The PDLC 3-Step Process and Master Product Brief use the RAPID decision matrix framework to define clear roles and responsibilities for each leader and product team member across every process sub-step, product brief section, and stage gate. The RAPID framework accelerates decisions by clearly defining roles. Each Stage Gate has a formal checklist that must be completed before the team can move forward in the process and brief. If the checklist is not completed or approved by the Product Leader, the team and work cannot proceed to the next process step, product brief section, or stage gate.

Six stage gates · one per sub-step

Every step exits through a gate.

Nothing advances without gate approval — this coordinates portfolio, architecture, and launch decisions. Each gate also appears as the first tile in its sub-step above.
